My Trip to Campbell's Covered Bridge

Saturday, November 7, 2009

I had fun at the bridge. It was very big and exciting to see. I have never seen this kind of bridge before. And it's really cool because it is just amazing to see one of these, in these days.

I love the bridge because it is kind of fun and it is a good thing for children to see.

I am glad that they saved it and try to keep it up. If we didn't have it, all the kids wouldn't know what the old bridges look like.

The roof is tin! You don't see alot of houses having tin roofs, or bridges. It was really cool because it kind of looked like a farm, because it was colored red.

There is a sign that shows you how the old bridges were made. There was a really cool wishing well, that in the old days, all the people had to get water from wishing wells.

I hope you all get to visit it one day. Sign my guest book and tell me what you think of my blog.

Maurice Sendak - My Author Project

Maurice Sendak - My author project
At school we had to pick an author and do a project. I picked Maurice Sendak who wrote, "Where The Wild Things Are."

I wrote up six facts about him. My favorite fact - that he used crazy relatives who visited his house to create the monsters in the story.

The book became a movie. Here is a behind the scenes look.

I am a full hand March 2009

Being five is great. I get to use a full hand. All five fingers.

Mom let me pick a wish list of gifts my family members could get me.

One of my favorite gifts is a cash register from my Mama. I play store all the time now and shop shop shop.

Grandpa got me a Hello Kitty caes for Ninendo DS. I am getting pretty good playing my games. We had alot of fun.

I woke up and got to decorate a cupcake with sprinkes for BREAKFAST. Now that is a good day!

Then lunch at Monsoon Noodle. A cake from De De. And mom took the night off from work!

Getting Ready for School
(Gracie can't type so mom, her typist is typing up what she says in her blog)

"I am so excited to meet my own teacher Miss Kim.

The whole class is going to be there and I can't wait to meet my new friends.

My mom took me to school one day last year, so I've already seen the classroom. Here's what I liked about it: the cowboys and other toys.

I hope on the first day Miss Kim will teach me stuff and I will know all the things she tells me.

I'll blog again soon."

Joe Jonas picked me up - REALLY!

Joe Jonas took me on stage!

Hi... I am Gracie Wood who got picked up by Joe Jonas in the concert last night.

It was really cool and he let me sing for a little while. I felt really nervous and shocked.

Excitement, that was all I could feel while I was up there. I think I will remember this for my whole life.

(in her own words with mom typing :))

Questions for Gracie

How long did it last: "about 2 minutes!"

How long do you wish it had lasted: "15 minutes."

What would you say to Joe: "I would tell him thank you for letting me be up there with you Joe at the concert."

Why didn't you give Joe a kiss on the cheek: "Mom, He's 20!" (He's actually 19)
